About LJP Community
LJP was created by its founder, Simon, who wanted to make language learning affordable after facing high tuition costs as a personal barrier to language learning. This community aims to connect people who want to learn Japanese but cannot afford the high fees of traditional Japanese classes.
In this community, students can join a weekly Japanese lesson with other students at the same level, where they can practice new vocabulary learned during the class. Additionally, we use Slack to facilitate interaction among students with similar Japanese proficiency levels through group chats. In these chats, students can help each other with homework or hold Zoom meetings to practice speaking together!
Let’s speak a lot of Japanese and grow together with our fellow students!

Classes
The class has three levels

Beginner level: You’ll learn basic Japanese words and phrases to build your vocabulary.

Intermediate level: You’ll start forming sentences by combining words and practicing simple conversations.

Advanced level: You’ll have enjoyable conversations with Simon and learn Japanese that can be used in many real-life situations.

Community
LJP is a community created to support those who want to speak Japanese by making it easier to learn. It provides an environment where students can easily connect with each other, promoting plenty of conversation opportunities and offering an efficient platform for learning.
By incorporating not only input but also output among students, the retention rate of learned content can be increased by about four times.

Students
In the LJP Community, the goal is to provide an environment where students can speak a lot of Japanese. To support this, students at the same level can interact with each other through a service called Slack. They can discuss class homework, review lessons together, practice speaking Japanese over Zoom, and more. There are various ways to make use of this platform.
To provide opportunities for interaction among students of different levels, once the total number of students exceeds 50, we also plan to offer weekly Zoom events on weekends where students from different levels can connect and interact.

なので、必然的に生徒が日本語を話さないといけない環境が出来上がります。

The instructors at LJP are fluent in Japanese but not very proficient in English. This naturally creates an environment where students have to speak Japanese.

Shimon is a university student in the United States, and his English skills are still a work in progress.
He is in charge of the advanced class.
